Artes Latinae on a Macintosh
Artes Latinae can be used with a
PowerMac running SoftWindows 3.0
What we have is an IBM-compatible disk which works well on any
of the PowerMacs or Performas which have a PowerPC chip and are
running SoftWindows 3.0 or later or Virtual PC. Customers should
have 32MB of memory. SoftWindows requires at least 16MB but runs
slowly on anything less that 32MB.
To determine whether your Performa will
run our program, check to see how many digits are in the model number.
If there are four, the computer has a PowerPC chip; if not, it doesn't.
For example, a Performa 476 can't run our program, but a Performa
5260 has a power PC chip and can.
We just completed a test with a new G4
Ti Laptop. Artes Latinae still needs some sort of virtual Windows
to run.
If you need to purchase Soft Windows
or Virtual PC, we would be willing to take $50 off the price of
our CDROM if you document the purchase of SoftWindows or Virtual
PC. (You will get a better price if you purchase SoftWindows or
Virtual PC from a chain outlet or website that you would buying
directly from the company.)
